You know those gitchie-goo, crooning games you play with your infant? They may seem a little silly (okay, they are a little silly!), but they're an essential part of building baby's motor skills and coordination---and they promote that all-important baby-parent bond. Tickle My Nose has lots of little games like this. First, there are 20 creative, catchy, zippy rhymes. "Tickle my nose and make me sneeze/Roll me in snow and let me freeze/Send me away across the seas/But whatever you do, don't squeeze my knees!" goes one. But the words are just half the fun. The back of the book outlines hand motions for each rhyme. You might tickle your baby's tummy, for example, while you read "Under Teddy's sweater/Under Teddy's vest/There's a little button/Dying to be pressed." Read the rhymes aloud even before the baby's old enough to sit up and look at the book. Later on, let her turn the pages and look at the bright, simple illustrations.
